Hatha

Hatha Yoga refers to a set of physical postures (known as asanas or postures), and sequences of asanas, designed to align your skin, muscles, and bones. Through mindful movement of the body you cultivate strength, stability, flexibility and ease. 

Open your body through active and mindful physical movement to cultivate the quiet mind and connect with your inner stillness.  Find your edge to refine your practice, stabilize and strengthen your body, all while releasing tension.

Kundalini Yoga

The practice of Kundalini Yoga balances the glandular system, strengthens the nervous system and enables us to harness the energy of the mind and emotions.

We offer Kundalini Fire on Monday evenings, for those who'd like to bring on a sweat and Kundalini Gentle on Thursday mornings to gently awaken the body. Saturday morning offers a mix, allow yourself to have an open mind. 

 Each class includes tuning-in with a mantra, a warm-up, a kriya (a series of excercises), meditation and deep relaxation. 

All levels and ages welcome.

Thursdays, Kundalini Gentle with Karen, 6am - 7am

Meditation

Using techniques from Vipassana meditation, we will explore the nature of mind through enquiry and observing closely what is arising in the moment. We will see how thoughts, emotions and sensations come and go.
Through strengthening our awareness, we can lighten our attachment to those phenomena and take more control of our consciousness.

Men'S Yoga

Curious about yoga?

​Join Tracy for a dynamic and accessible yoga class designed and targeted to men. Learn to move and breathe, stretch and strengthen.

Classes focus on the whole body, and incorporate the mind in movement. Get strong, loosen up, achieve clarity, become more entered.

Restorative Yoga

 Take time to relax and renew. 
Restorative yoga is a practice that is about "active relaxation". It typically involves only five or six poses, supported by props that allow you to completely relax and rest.

This practice will help you to:
  • Heal the effects of chronic stress
  • Recover from illness or injury
  • Balance energy and quiet the mind

Yin Yoga

Known as the quiet practice, Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis and lower spine. Yin postures are held for three to five minutes which gives the body an opportunity to open and release tension from deeper tissues.

​Yin Yoga is a simple practice. It is subtle and it can also be challenging. The body of the class consists of 6-8 poses that take place directly on the earth. There are no standing poses and the focus is on the lower body. Poses are held for 3-5 minutes.

This form of yoga is a great complement to more dynamic and active practices, and is a great aid for learning to sit in meditation.
