Winter Solstice Yoga Workshop
The (Hidden) Gift of Grief
"Grief is like an ocean. It comes on waves ebbing and flowing. Sometimes the water is calm, and sometimes it is overwhelming. All we can do is learn to swim." - Vicki Harrison
Winter Solstice is a natural time to acknowledge our shadow, our grief and our sadness. It is a time to heal our wounds and to release old thought patterns.
If you try to avoid the pain in grief and become numb, its process is blocked. You remain stuck in the past, unable to move on and enjoy anything but the memory of that which is gone. Grief nurtures us to awaken and to heal our hearts.
You are invited to explore your depths with Kundalini Yoga, meditation and reflective writing, to clear the past, to awaken your heart and to bring in the life-affirming energy needed to move forward into the new year.
Date: Sunday December 18
Time: 10:30am - 3:30pm
Instructor: Kiki van der Heiden
